i was disconnected from live while playing halo so i went to test connection and live failed. is this me or everybody?what happened to live?

Same thing happens to me every now and then, I guess just wait it out, it's what I do.
I get disconnected when playing multiplayer heavily (like Gears of War for about two or three hours straight).
That happened to me once while playing halo 3. Me and my friends in my party all had the same problem and we figured live was down but apparently it was just us. It came back a few minutes later.
