It's short, bad enemy and friendly A.I., it's very stereotypical in that it portrays Arabs as crazy suicide bombers. The gameplay also isn't the best because the controls just feel a little awkward.Whats good and whats so bad about Army o ...
Wouldn't have said it got bad reviews. According to gamerankings.com it got an average of 74%. Doesn't seem to bad to me.
IMO - I say yes !!! The cover system was good - my biggest gripe was the weapons physics - they were horrible !!!!COD 4 spoiled this for me. i.e.-In COD 4, if someone is hiding behind a wooden crate, you could still take out the enemy by shooting thru the crate. In AO2 - it was as if you could run around holding up a newspaper and you'd be safe. Bullets don't penetrate anything in AO2.That ws my biggest complaint.
The online multiplayer wasn't that great either.
i liked the game, it was fun for one playthrough but it doesn't have very good replay value, and the enemy A.I. is inconsistent, o and make sure you play with another person as your teammate because it really sucks with the computer playing alongside you, you just get into a lot of frustrating moments
Well i for one love Army of Two! It has great graphics and great gameplay mechanics. And those things about stereotypes blablabla , its just crazy saying something like that i mean HELLO its not and i say again ''NOT'' normal sane people we are shooting its frigging terrorist! lol
Army of Two is not a bad game. It's not a great game, but I think the GameRankings/MetaCritic score is pretty accurate: 7 out of 10. I enjoyed it. It can be a lot of fun playing through it with a friend.
...it's very stereotypical in that it portrays Arabs as crazy suicide bombers...
You don't see this a whole lot in shooters. This might be stereotype in Western culture, but it's not in shooters. And if you're a mercenary fighting for the US in the Middle East, exactly who are you supposed to be fighting?

It didn't bother me. I thought it was pretty ballsy of the game to even depict this, seeing what a backlash there can be against anything that might portray Muslims in a negative light. Again, I point out that in the history of shooters, a very small percentage of them actually have Arabs as bad guys, even when that's who the US (where most of these games are made) is fighting right now.You could make an argument that even though suicide attacks are real technique used against US and Allied troops, the ''hand-waving'' thing you pointed out was overdone. Maybe. The back-to-back portions are very stylized, and shouldn't be taken literally.
