Fixing a scratched disc...

Will toothpaste work on 360 discs? Another other tips? My copy of GTAIV got scratched :(Fixing a scratched disc...
Sorry to hear about your scratched disc.Anyway, yes tooth paste will work. But be extremely careful and make sure you use a microfiber cloth. This cloth is soft enough to prevent scratches on your disc. There are a few other solutions you can use but unfortunately I cannot remember them at this time. Google it. One key thing to remember is that tooth paste and solutions are used to remove smudges and minor scratches. If this is a deep scracth that is preventing you from playing GTA IV. Then I suggest that you call MS to replace it for a new one. It will cost $25. Fixing a scratched disc...
There's this car scratch-out stuff made by a company called ''KIT'' that works wonders for scratched discs. It comes in a yellow bottle and you can find it in most auto parts stores and departments. That said, if you've got the deep circular gouge in the disc you're probably not going to be able to fix it. I got a disc yesterday from Netflix that looked like it was damaged by a 360... perfect circle all around about halfway in the disc. I ran it through my disc resurfacer five times and couldn't fix it.... it was junked.
Take it to any DVD video library they have a machine that buffs out scratches. My local DVD charged me only a couple of dollars to clean my copy of Bioshock.
Take it down to your local video store, they usually have cleaning kits and will happily clean your GTA IV for free. It's usually a machine, as they do it so often.
