1st person on PC, 3rd person on consoles.
it depends. imagine playing cod4 in 3rd person it would be hard because you would have trouble seeing in front of you due to your body in being in the way. but then imagine playing gears in 1st person in would hard
i don't know? guess it depends of the gameflow. COD4 wouldnt work in 3rd person. but some of Tom Clancys Shooter work very well in 3rd person
Depends on the game but if it can be implemented very well in 3rd-person then that will be my prime choice. I prefer 3rd person because it allows you to view your environment more. It heightens the scope of your surroundings. As opposed to first person shooter where everything feels so concaved.But like I said, it all comes down to the game. An action-adventure game should be 3rd-person while some shooters like Call of Duty 4 should always be in 1st-person. Gears of War like shooters should be 3rd person. You get where I'm going with this.

1st person is my favorite. 3rd person in some games is great, but sometimes can block the view of something infront of you.
Doesnt matter to me but I like Halo 3's 3rd person view in theater mode, I wish Halo 3 wouldve been 3rd person.
First person all the way.Third person seems a bit of a cheat, since you can see someone attacking you from behind without having to turn around

That's funny when I just voted it made the poll perfectly even.Anyway. It depends on the game. Examples:Bioshock wouldn't work nearly as well as a 3rd person shooter.POP wouldn't work at all as a 1st person game.
I love Socom 2, and Gears is decent. So 3rd person all the way.
