NEEDED: Super Nerdy Pictures of Gamesto ...

Hey all, I made a blogsite of video game related topics, reviews, and stuff like that. I used to have another site but the admin didn't filter spam so I left and wrote some stuff up really quick. I made a post dedicated to nerdy Gamestop workers. So if you have any pictures, or can get some send em to me. My email for the site is highscore79@hotmail.com.http://planetvideogame.blogspot.com/ is the link to the site if you want to check them out.NEEDED: Super Nerdy Pictures of Gamesto ...
Looks like some kid who got ripped off and is trying to get revenge by posting pictures from Google on a free sub domain from BlogSpot.NEEDED: Super Nerdy Pictures of Gamesto ...

That's what I thought at first too, but then I read his blog and came to the conclusion that he's a former EB Games employee who got mad when the company he worked for got bought out.

I also found it a bit funny that he seemed really upset when he found out that Game Informer magazine was (pause for dramatic effect) owned by Gamestop! As if he never found it weird that no other retailer other than Gamestop sold the magazine!

Anyway, this thread is off-topic.
I've known that for years. I'm telling other people so they know. I never got ripped off, and I didn't really care when they merged. I would just like people to know all of this this because they don't tell you. And Game Informer is sold at many stores besides Gamestop.
Okay, maybe this has changed since back when I was a store manager for the company, but when I worked for Gamestop, the magazine was not sold anywhere else.
Not like it's a big deal, but I have saw it at Wal Greens before because I used to buy Xbox Magazine there. Seems like I have saw it other places as well but I can't remember where so I can't confirm.
Another big part of your (and countless other people's) problem with Gamestop is that ''trade in value/used merchandise price'' issue. I can't even begin to tell you how tired that argument has become.

Gamestop, along with every other company in the world, has the right to make money. Yes, they make a big profit off of used/pre-owned merchandise, but in my time with the company, not a single customer was ever forced to take the trade-in value that was offered to them. My store's door let customers in AND out of the building.

If you've really got an issue with the value/price of used merchandise, I strongly suggest you try trading your car in towards the purchase of a new vehicle at a large dealership. I use this example because after I resigned from my position as Store Manager with Gamestop, I started selling cars for a large Ford dealership in the midwest, and one thing I've come to realize from both jobs is that everyone thinks their crap is worth *this much*, and everyone thinks the store/dealership's crap is worth *this little*.

I guess my point is this: if you don't like Gamestop, don't shop there. It's that freaking simple.

You should learn how to spell before calling anyone a loser.

Cars and video games are completely different. Cars run for a finite amount of time. A car with 40k miles may only run for another 50k miles. Sure, if you buy a car and take it to the dealership in one week you are going to get screwed. There is no telling what you did to that car. And the car will be given a used price tag. As for a video game I can take one look at a disc and know if it was was ever played, or if it has scratches. But when Gamestop prices the used game it gets priced $5.00 lower than new. Nope, no one is forced to sell their games to Gamestop. Agreed.
thats hilarious

this is why i avoid gamestop, unless they have an extremely good deal there, i trade my games with goozex,at least there when you trade a new or really popular game at the time you get enough points to get another new game, unlike at gamestop where i will trade a new game and still have to pay $25-30 to get another new game. For an example on Goozex i could trade GTA 4 and get enough points to get Battlefield:Bad Company
That's just stupid. Half of it is completely false and the other half is exaggerated.
funny blog. but meh.
