Obviously the RROD is the most common way for a 360 to fail completely, but other errors such as E74 (which I got for the only time so far I had to send a 360 in) and disc read errors have also led to calls for the coffin.
The third answer to this poll includes any failure of the disc tray, such as it not being able to open or if ''To play this disc, please put it in an Xbox 360 console'' shows up even on your 360.
There are probably some other (Answer 4) problems that can also occur. I heard from someone on YouTube that his 360 flashed 4 lights even though his A/V cable was properly inserted and he even tried multiple A/V cables and even an HDMI cable. And those same cables worked fine on other 360s.How did your most recent Xbox 360 consol ...
Had mine for 2 years...no freezes, not even a DREHow did your most recent Xbox 360 consol ...
RROD, a month ago.
Ive been getting a disc unreadable message on most of my games. Not all. I have been trying to wait it out....I guess Im in denial. Will I have to call for the coffin?
RROD in a CoD4 match. Sent it in. And got it back two weeks later
i can only imagine RROD on your birthday?
Disc Drive stopped reading discs but I had warrenty at EB so they replaced it just like that
E74 it was the first time 4 me, like in march
Ive been getting a disc unreadable message on most of my games. Not all. I have been trying to wait it out....I guess Im in denial. Will I have to call for the coffin?
It will progressively get worse. Unless there's a game you just can't stop playing for a couple weeks I'd send it off.
Had RROD in March. Microsoft returns a new 360 in April. Two and a half months later, I get one flashing red light. When the console fired up, it said E69, and then on another occasion I got E71. And then on another occasion I got E79. Maybe they're all similar? I just bought a new HDTV on top of this and can't test it out until I get the 360 back. I don't feel like buying a PS3 or a Wii. I can't afford owning all of the systems these days. Here's something that could be important: In March I got the RROD after playing CoD4 9 (single player-Veteran difficulty) all day long. Then I just got the one flashing light after playing the same game, but playing multiplayer all day long. CoD4 must really be a demanding game to run!
I need a both A and B answer. Let me explain.I got the RRoD, then i did the towel trick while i was waiting for my coffin, then when it broke again i got E 74, which is what my first console got.
mine has disk read errors and the game freezes alot. i give it 2 months
My xbox had the unreadable disk error and my warrenty expired a month before it happend. I open the xbox and fixed it myself.Works good as new.8)
so what did you do to it? Im calling for the coffin tomorrow. Im getting sick of the darn thing giving me the error. It works on some games.....but on the majority of my games...nada.
I actually got the E74 just the other day. Have to send it in now... at least I can use my little bros when he isn't using it.
Mine stopped reading discs and about a week after that got the RROD.

I had mine for over a year then got the RROD. Three months later after I got it back it won't read game discs. Now I have to send it in again.
