Another reason I don't play the game. It's bull crap you have to pay for the maps when you can get em free on the PC. Face it, Call of Duty is a PC game. Started on the PC, the controls are better on the PC(not to mention you have more abilities like peeking from corners), it's cheaper on the PC and you don't have to pay for the maps.

Wow, they are still charging for COD2 maps? I guess the COD4 maps never will be free then. That really sucks. I just assumed they would be free before too long because Bungie always makes theirs free eventually. I guess Activision just isn't as cool as Bungie.

Ya the packs will always prob cost money...hopefully they'll release just one map for free though, most games do.

I don't think so because CoD2 maps still cost MS Points. I have CoD4 PC and got the new maps in a patch, and can't really say I'll pay for them on my 360 because I only liked Creek.

yeah but then you have to pay $$$$ for necessary upgrades for your rig and everything, not to mention the lack of the xbox live friends list and everything

I don't see it being it free since they've sold millions already and there's constantly new players joining all the time. Your best bet is to get them for $10 with MS points or re-buy the game as the GOTY edition if you don't have a credit card you can use.
Why are you people so cheap? Whenever it comes to DLC, all of you ask when it'll be free, It won't be. Why would it be? True, Epic and Bungie were nice enough to get some of theirs free but that's just two companies.
