What is all the fuss w/ UT3 360?

UT3 is a sick game. its known for fast paced shooting action but when it was announced that ut3 360 wouldnt have the option of customizing your own character and levels some ppl freaked out (ign boards, some gamespot). personally i dont care at all bout the feature, im just happy to be able to play split screen w/ a friend and even if there was the option of customizing stuff i prbly wouldnt have even touched it. this also happened when gta4 came out. ppl were complaining about not being able to dress niko, not able to work out and stuff. kinda weird if you ask me. so what do u guys think? is this really gonna make ut3 less enjoyable? and what is ur opinion on customization in games?What is all the fuss w/ UT3 360?
I love it. I played it on the PS3 and didn't care for the armour perms or modded content.What is all the fuss w/ UT3 360?
The fuss about lack of customisation is because it is available on PS3.Normally there wouldn't be a fuss as the PC version would get lots of extras like this and the consoles wouldn't. But because the PS3 did get it and the 360 didn't people take the easy option and bash this for its lack of features. Add to that the long wait and there isn't much interest in getting an old game. It may only be a few months, but when there are brand new games like BFBC, and Gears 2 not far away, why should people bother with UT3?
even though it would have been nice to have that option to customize, it's still going to be a very enjoyable game without it
I personally dislike moddage and would rather play the ''pure'' game. However, aren't they going to do a DLC type of thing where Microsoft will let you download the ''best'' ps3/pc mods in a pack every once in a while? I think I heard that from somewhere a long time ago.
I think i heard somethin about the ''best'' mods available as DLC too, it would be awesome if they did. They might say somethin about it at E3 but who knows. Even if they arent available as DLC, I'm still gonna pick it up on monday. Heard its a sick game.
You can customize your character, except there are no mods for additional characters or maps. I don't think it is that big of a deal though, there is no mod support for Bad Company and I don't hear anyone complaining. I love Bad Company and I may pick up UT3 because it looks like a great game.I could understand why people would be upset that there is no progressive skill system in the game, but that is not exclusive to the Xbox 360 version. That is just a criticism of UT3 on all platforms. I think the whole fuss about no mod support is just another example of people always finding something to whine about. People should just take a game at its own merit and judge it based on its technical/artistic prowess (or lackthereof) and the ''fun-factor'' of its gameplay. At least that is my perspective.

There are a host of other games that don't support some of the features lamented in their absence from Unreal Tournament 3. However, I think people have some right to complain if they PS3 gets something that 360 doesn't. I can understand a disparity between PC and console features, but not between two consoles.
Customization was the only thing that really saved this game honestly. It kind of flopped on the PS3 and it's looking less and less appealing on the 360.
Well with xbox 360 version,you get Native 1080p which looks so much better then ps3's 720p of course!You get proper live system,Mic support,Real people,A console that people want to play it onpersonally i think the game is freaking Awesome and looks fantastic.mods''no wounder everyone stopped playing,cause every ones trying out mods.no one played the game,so it went to bye bye!My ps3 buddies have it too,and boy they say it so much better on 360 no bull...

if you are a UT veteran like me on the PC, then you'll know why UT is one of the best underhyped FPS games of this time.to me this game kicks all FPS's ass

I've wanted this game for a long time. I played the PC version for a short while and since i jumped right in i had no clue what i was doing. Hopefully the gameplay isn't as difficult as i think it is.
This game looks awesome, I havent played it on ps3. Cusomization is just ok, makes the game more interactive, it doesn't bothers me.
