Do you think that at this year's E3, Microsoft will announce that Xbox Live will be free? Or do you think that it's always going to cost money, because that's what Microsoft is; money hungry.I think it would get a lot more people involved in Xbox community though. Would be nifty. But, I'm not expecting much, just curious, like George. Haha idk, I'm in the joking mood.Microsoft E3 announcments
I think that for the quality of xbl would deteriorate if it becomes free, since we pay close to 60 a year a chunk of that goes to maintaining everything, and as long as the quality is as it is right now, with a few fixes I would not mind paying for it at allMicrosoft E3 announcments
MS is a business, and what are businesses in business for to make money so no why would they it would be stupid on their part to make it free, because then all of a sudden money being made is quickly lost which is a dumb business plan. Services are intended to be paid for thats why they are services, do u expect cable to be free, internet? No so why would u expect this form of service to be free?
I bet at E3 we get...Halo Wars release date. Some more information on the Peter Jackson Halo GameWhatever Bungie is working on (Most likely H4)So much halo... :(
If jesus comes back today. I then will know for a fact that XBL will be free. If not. Dont get your hopes up. Live needs to not be free. I dont want another PSN or Wii-Fi.

basically, yeah.
....why.....why must people always bring the Xbox Live Free Debarte....any ways I think they will annouce the suspected Motion Control Thing, The Dashboard Update (confirm or deny it), and anyhting they can get thier hands on.
it wouldn't be as good if it was free. PSN is free, and it's not as good.Plus, I don't mind paying $50 a year to get a far superior online gaming service.
Xbox Live isn't going to be free. Either way $50 a year really isn't that much to pay for the online service.Microsoft will probably announce some Halo stuff and something about the next update to the dashboard.
i havent played ps3 but 360's online is 100% percent better than ps2
I'd rather pay because think about it. Free means anyone can just plug an ethernet cord into their modem and play correct just imagine how much worse the community would get.
...because that's what Microsoft is; money hungry.
Well, yeah. I think that goes without saying. Profit is the driving force behind most businesses.
I'd rather pay because think about it. I hadn't thought of that one before. Live is a good service, and if paying a tiny pittance every month helps keep it going, then fine. It's a testament to Live that in recent polls on this forum, half the people have said they should have to pay for Live. That's pretty good when a significant portion of the population wants to pay for something.

I have no problem paying 50 dollars for a great service compared to the others that are ''free'' so i hope they DONT MAKE IT FREE!! otherwise ther care for the service will go down since it is well ''free'' and as for E3 I think all microsoft will announce is the relase date for halo wars, and im hoping a great new unexpected title.
alan wake!!!
Im hoping for some definate release dates on a few games and a few games that try something different. And as for the free live, if you can afford everything else required for online play, chances are you can afford $50 a year.
I doubt free XBL will happen. It would be cool if they started to require dedicated servers for every game, and finally add support for 1440x900 resolution.

I want a gameplay video of Fallout 3, a Too Human demo (we're getting one before the game comes out, so E3 would be a good place), info on Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2....stuff like that.
