Hard drive/achievement question.

I just traded in a bunch of games and want to delete the game files on my hard drive to make room. If i go to the games portion of the memory and hit ''Y'' for games options and delete the ones i traded in/any i dont want or own will it delete the achievements ive gotten for those games?also just a general question. can achievements be deleted in any way by deleting stuff on your hard drive, and can achievements be deleted period? cause i dont want to accidentally do that.Hard drive/achievement question.

Your achievemnts will not be deleted
I don't think the achievements will be deleted.
There is absolutely no way you can lose your achievements.I actually wish you could, though. I'm close to OCD when it comes to achievements, and I would love to delete GTAIV off of my games played list. Don't know what I was thinking playing that game.
thanks. i do have one more question though. i know that Live has wiped peoples achievements and labeled them as cheaters for manipulating theyre save games. if for some reason i have spare money and want to get one of those old games again and start playing, will i get achievements again for that game since ive deleted it?Playing an old game isnt worth it if I have my score wiped out and am labeled a cheater.
There's no problem playing a game, getting a few achievements, quitting, then coming back later and getting the rest of the achievements.The people that got their scores wiped were ''gamesaving'', which means they basically got all the achievements from many games they played without playing it. To my knowledge, it's it's just a system that copies someone else's achievements on to your own profile.MS didn't do that great of a job, though, because a lot of well-known gamesavers are still on the top of the leaderboards.
Achievements are not tied to saved games AFAIK. As long as you advance your play legitimately without using modded xboxes or game files, your account won't be in any danger for banning/achievement loss.
achievments wont get deleted because there stored into the game history of that game you played and not onto the hard drive itself so if you go to the dashboard and view games your achievements are saved in that history
