I really want to know before I buy, im planning to buy it on its own. Is it worth my cash??Elder Scrolls IV - Is it worth my cash??
Hell, yeah. Well the GOTY edition anyway. It took me 60-70 hours to get all the achievements and 100+ hours to finish all of the side quests, eg. Order Of The Virtuous Blood.Elder Scrolls IV - Is it worth my cash??
Yes it is. You can get it really cheap on Xbox Classics now or get GOTY Edition for a bit extra. Go buy it.
If you are into my type of game, then yes go for it.
It's definitely worth it. I played it for more than 150 hours.
You'll either love it or hate it. At first, I thought it wasnt my cup of tea but as I FORCED myself to play it, I grew to like Oblivion more and more. I especially enjoyed NPC interaction. Their silly stories and rumors really made the game immersive.

Now its one of my all time favorite games.
I'm renting it from gamefly, I've had my doubts for over a year on whether to play this game or not, now I'll find out for sure.

Imo Oblivion is more worth it's price tag than any other game on the 360.There is so much to do that you can really play it forever (in theory).
Honostly, it really depends on what kind of gamer you are. That might sound corny, but it really is the truth. I thought that I was this huge RPG fan, so when I heard about Oblivion I thought it would be right up my alley. When I used to own a 360, it was the first game I got for it and I really couldn't get into it. About 5 months later, I thought i'd give it another shot and bought it used for 25 bucks, and again I just couldn't get into it. A year passes, I wind up selling my 360 and I get a ps3, and I buy the game for the ps3 and again, it didn't do anything for me. People talk about how they love this game so much because of how many hours they put into it, how much their is to do, the whole open world experience, and all the side quests and stuff like that. So, that leads me to what I had originally said in my opening statement which was, it depends on what type of gamer you are. If you like a game because of its lenghtiness, or you like being able to do numerous amounts of things throughout the game, or if you like having a world where it can take you forever to walk around in, or if you like being able to do side missions whenever you want without touching the main story, then I would deffinetly say give this game a shot. Im not here to bash this game at all, im just saying it wasn't for me. I like getting through the story, and then if I really enjoyed the game i'd go back and do the other stuff. (Example: GTA IV) So, the answer to your question, ''is it worth my cash?'' I would say no, but I gave you my reasons why I would say no. If you like all the stuff I said, then i'd say go ahead and buy it, it wouldn't hurt to try it out, seems like the majority of people like this game.BTW...sorry for the long post. It's early in the morning and I have a lot of time on my hands so I figured I would be as detailed as possible..haha.
If you think 200+ hours of gameplay is worth $60 for the GOTY edition even less now,
It is totaly worth it. A good story to follow, If you choose to follow it. You can do almost anything you want. A lot of customization options. It is totally worth your money
I love it and I'm not really an RPG fan. I've played hundreds of hours so far on my 360 before, and now on my PS3. Huge environment, do whatever you want, I love the medieval kinda feel to it, it's fantastic.

In my honest opinion I would say no.
If you own a 360 you should deffinetly own Oblivion, it is still one of the best games to have for the system.
