Dead Rising is a survial horror! So shut ...

If Dead Rising was to add a checkpoint system, that would defeat the hole point of it being a survival horror wouldn't it? There are restrooms and the security room to save in, so why complain? The Old Resident Evil games did the exact same with you having to find a save point, but nobody complained about that, i just think some people CANNOT say a game is good without picking out the smallest bits out of it. Like i said, if people say this game needs a checkpont system, then you don't know the meaning of Survival Horror, don't you agree?Dead Rising is a survial horror! So shut ...
I don't have a huge issue with the limited saves in games (RE 4 comes to mind), but I think it's problematic in Dead Rising because of the timed nature of the game. Since you only have a certain amount of time to complete missions, you can screw yourself over by creating a save point where you don't have enough time to complete the case files. If that happens you have to start your game over again (it's happened to me once so far). Capcom did relieve this problem by letting you keep your stats, but it's still a frustrating system.Dead Rising is a survial horror! So shut ...
I traded in my Dead Rising, so I don't have a reason to complain anymore. :)

I'm sorry but a basic checkpoint save system should be the default in any game. Games like Dark Sector do it very well. If you think that by not having it makes the game more.. intense or whatever then more power to you but I want the option.
I have a memory unit. I used that and my HDD for 2 save spots. So, it wasn't a problem for me.
I have a memory unit. I used that and my HDD for 2 save spots.
Well who's fault is it if you do that?
I agree that it's my fault for screwing around too much and doing too many scoop missions at once, but I still think the game would benefit from looser time requirements. That being said, it's still a great game, and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
i just didn't like it, nothing to do with the save system which i understand.

So that being said, it looks like checkpoints aren't that great in the survival horror game. Plus explain how the game is not more intense. Imagine this situation in a RE game.Situation1- Fighting a boss and he's tough, you realized you forgot to save at that last point even tough you could've. You realize that you have to win this or you're screwed.Situation2- Fighting that same boss but there was a checkpoint right before him so even if you do die you don't have to worry.Which is more intense? Or do you not know what intense means because from your post it seems not.
Whoa. Is it 2006 again?Seriously though. Why bring this up now? Have loads of people been making topics recently about Dead Rising's save system or does it just take you a very long time to form an opinion?
Or is it because E3 is here and Capcom has 2 secret games in the works. Seeing as Dead Rising was so successful there's a possibilty a sequel or prequel is one of them. Also, does it matter that people talk about this game still?
Do people seriously still play Dead Rising? Geez...that game is like 4 years old...
Because the Xbox 360 has been around 4 years right?
the point of the game is to play through it multiple times...sure you can fail a mission easily because of time constraints, but that doesn't end the game, so I guess people think that they have to start over when they really don't have to, they just get a different ending. Plus u start the game with everything you had previously, so it didn't bother me a bit.
Because the Xbox 360 has been around 4 years right?
As a matter of fact it has. ;)You know that products are designed before they are released right? If not you need to start listening to what your teachers who get paid $30,000 a year have to say.
But has it been in stores for 4 years? BTW, Dead Rising hasn't even been out for 2 years. Maybe you should do research before you over exaggerate.
I played this game for probably 15 hours before ever even trying to complete the missions. Killing zombies was just so damn great. Sorry that this is off topic, but just thinking about there being a Dead Rising 2 gets me so excited.

I would love a prequel where you are Carlito or Isabel in their home city.
THANK YOU MAN!! I totally agree with you. People should stop complaining about the game. Everything about the game is perfect. And its a SURVIVAL HORROR game god damnit. People complained that it wasn't. Geez
