If you are talking about the official Xbox 360 Wireless Microphone, then yes you can use it on a PC. Only if you the special Wireless Gaming Reciever accessory for the 360. If you want to look at it search for it on any gaming store website. I had this adaptor at one point but it did not work all that well with the controllers but did work all right with the mic. The sound was not all that great. In my opinion you would be better off with a wired USB one on your PC. Hope this helps!

gta4- niko drowned??
i was trying to get away from the cops by swimming and after i while i lost them, i started swimming back to shore then all the sudden die for seemingly no reason, there was no boats or anything nearby ..nothing at all. did i drown? i had been swimming for quite a while but i mean wdf..and i didnt even like go underwater before the monochrome death screen put its curse on my tv. (before i died) niko has a really bad stamina...gta4- niko drowned??

GTA IV acheivement question
I was trying to get the helicopter under the bridges and the wheelie for 50 feet acheivements but I tried to do them in free mode do they HAVE to be in story mode as Niko?GTA IV acheivement question
dosent matter, if your refering free mode as post story completion yeah do that, but the airport runway is for the 500 ft wheelie its incredibly easy on a street bike and theres one convienently parked there tooGTA IV acheivement question

I would think so yeah, because you can change the circumstances to make it easier for you on free mode. i have both of them and I did it on single player. The wheelie achievement is easiest to get on the airport runway on a (lol it censors the bikes name. you can do a perfect wheelie if you pull back as far as you can while at top speed if your on a baggio.) the helicopter achievement is pretty straight forward, because when you go under abridge and it says ''12 bridges remaining for achievement'' or something, they will be marked on your big map for a few seconds after. I had a problem with the big bridge in the west of alderney, because I was going under it over the water, and you need to go under it where there is a gap in the girders. Good luck
lying under biridges you should be able to find out really fast - each bridge you fly under for the first time will cause a message to pop up saying how many bridges remaining - if it doesn't then either you've already done that bridge, or can't do it in that mode.Not sure whether you have to land the wheelie or not, but once you get either a Sanchez or an NRG, then you can pull huge wheelies well over 500ft. I did mine on the second island, on the very wide main road with some road works. I got to 1990ft before getting knocked off by a turning car. On the airport runway you should be able to get it easily without the risk of getting knocked down

i have it already and seriously this has the most unique multiplayer modes on the 360 i was blown away,and the sniper is just like on gears(sound,bullet visual) but no more lag yay! lol and i played multiplayer earlier today and it was no lag whatso ever

i loved the fast paced nature of it, but it can get a little old. I loved the mod for UT2003 called ''the one''.... it was based on the matrix and whoever was the leader in kills could slow down or speed up time at will... it was pretty amazing.... i wish it had mods for 360.... i'll most likely get it... i need to make use of my xbl subscription somehow

so I just got my 360 back from repair..I ...
I just got it back and it runs fine. However, my gamertag is completely random...I tried team fortress 2 online and it worked perfectly..however I tried downloading the ninja gaiden 2 demo and it gave me some error and said ''any funds payed for this will be added back'' and sometimes when I try downloading the demo and go to active downloads it freezes up for so long and it displays nothing. then I pop in Mass Effect and load my file YAY it works! but then I pop in oblivion and it lags up at the start up screen and I hit the guide button and my gamerscore is 0? and there are no game saves...so does anyone have a clue as to what the heck is happening with this? im just totally confused...so I just got my 360 back from repair..I ...

So I was playing Battlefield BC multiplayer and my character joins the fray. He spawns, looks around a bit, scratches his butt a couple of times and pop he gets sniped! Snipers do suck but also have their purposes. If you want to beat snipers this is what you do, I haven't played Bad Company yet, but I'm assuming this will work. In COD4 there a lot of snipers. I find the best way to counteract them is to memorize all of the camping/sniping spots. Now once you have done that, if your the run 'n gun type of player, like I am, during your run arounds of the map during games, frequently check out those sniper spots. Usually they won't even know your there until it's too late. You hate snipers, but I love them. Snipers = free kills.

I agree it is harder to memorize sniper locations on these games, but from what I've noticed most times when I play the battlefield games there are general areas where snipers will set up shop. Like for instance (it could have just been bad players) I was playing Battlefield 2 on xbox live last night and we were having a constant battle over a flag with the other team, and they would always pop a different sniper over and over again in the same spot near the flag. I see most snipers get a lot of kills in a area, and then continue to go to it over and over again, and not just in Battlefield.
maybe you shouldn't just stand around when you spawn.... and spawn with your squad instead of at your base to try to avoid them. In BF games, there's always another way. And it's not like sniping in BC is super easy ''point and click'' like in COD; sniping takes skill and practice to master in BC and if you got owned by him being a good shot, you gotta give him props for his skill.

On the contrary... Snipers are quite effective, and usefull... I just find it a little cheap how some people snipe... I also just can't see myself sitting around in the same spot throughout an entire game... I'm the type of person who just runs around blowing down walls, and shooting people... I normally get about 5 kills or so before I die just running around..........

Im a sniper. I snipe in Cod4 and BF2 for the PC. I played BF BC on my friends box, and was awsome at sniping.
wtf is up with the sniper complaints. when i get sniped i don't QQ on GS forums, i find their ass and take em down. lrn2play :P
Snipers are practically in all FPS multiplayer's game and they are rarely use for defense purposes. This are people you like to hide and pick off other players just for the hell of it. A coward way of obtaining cheap kills.

I'm a run 'n gun guy too, I rarely snipe. I used to find sniping fun because it was like toying with your opponent watching them before killing them, but today's games are more run 'n gun based, plus I can't sit there either. I also find that when I sit there and try to snipe, for instance during a Free For All in COD4, it takes too much time to get kills and I end up losing the match because of it.

I actually enjoying sniping on BF Demo. it just release stress, when u see another sniper, and u snipe their head first. or see someone just wondering around, and snipe them.

I agree it is harder to memorize sniper locations on these games, but from what I've noticed most times when I play the battlefield games there are general areas where snipers will set up shop. Like for instance (it could have just been bad players) I was playing Battlefield 2 on xbox live last night and we were having a constant battle over a flag with the other team, and they would always pop a different sniper over and over again in the same spot near the flag. I see most snipers get a lot of kills in a area, and then continue to go to it over and over again, and not just in Battlefield.
maybe you shouldn't just stand around when you spawn.... and spawn with your squad instead of at your base to try to avoid them. In BF games, there's always another way. And it's not like sniping in BC is super easy ''point and click'' like in COD; sniping takes skill and practice to master in BC and if you got owned by him being a good shot, you gotta give him props for his skill.

I'm a run 'n gun guy too, I rarely snipe. I used to find sniping fun because it was like toying with your opponent watching them before killing them, but today's games are more run 'n gun based, plus I can't sit there either. I also find that when I sit there and try to snipe, for instance during a Free For All in COD4, it takes too much time to get kills and I end up losing the match because of it.

CoD2 blew CoD4 away. Tony Hawk American Wasteland is one of the top 5 games on 360. Guitar 2 is 100X better than GH3 and Rock Band. Mass Effect was glitchy and buggy and the story wasn't that interesting, still like the game, but it is way overrated.

Sorry to hear about your scratched disc.Anyway, yes tooth paste will work. But be extremely careful and make sure you use a microfiber cloth. This cloth is soft enough to prevent scratches on your disc. There are a few other solutions you can use but unfortunately I cannot remember them at this time. Google it. One key thing to remember is that tooth paste and solutions are used to remove smudges and minor scratches. If this is a deep scracth that is preventing you from playing GTA IV. Then I suggest that you call MS to replace it for a new one. It will cost $25. Fixing a scratched disc...

Take it to any DVD video library they have a machine that buffs out scratches. My local DVD charged me only a couple of dollars to clean my copy of Bioshock.
Take it down to your local video store, they usually have cleaning kits and will happily clean your GTA IV for free. It's usually a machine, as they do it so often.

Does anyone know if you miss something such as a sidequest if you can go back to the area after you complete the game. I know with Blue dragon if you missed something you would be able to start the game over after beating it with keeping your characters leveled with all their stuff. So far Lost odyssey is my GOTY. That's my personnal pick so far but i know it wont win. It'll be between MGS4 and GTA4. That is unless some other games wows us.

Opponents and their methods
Some guy wanted to play against me in ''Gears of War'' (2 vs 2).
I had never played 2 vs 2 before, and I had put the sensitivity on my controller all the way up on the same day, so I hadn't gotten used to playing that way yet, but I went ahead anyway.(You probably won't believe that ''sensitivity bit, but its true)
Needless to say, me and my partner got our asses kicked.

So after playing for an entire game (over an hour) I didn't even get credit for the win, and to top it off he gave me bad feedback for being ''overly aggressive.''

This replaces my friends story. He said he was playing NBA 2K8 and It came down to the last seconds.....he was on the free throw line. The guy fouled him on purpose because he was UP 3 (smart move). I suppose he could have just tried to make the first free throw and then intentionally miss the second and try and get the ball, but the chances of that happening in 3 seconds aren't very good.

My 360 got RROD. I've done nothing to cause this, it's perfectly ventilated just as it has been since December 2005 when I got it. That's not even the worst part; remember that 3 year warranty which MS so kindly gave us 360 owners last year? Well apparently it doesn't count for the most hardcore fans who purchased the 360 early on - so basically, even though my warranty would technically still be valid, Microsoft would rather charge me ?0 ($100 approx) for a repair which was their fault anyway. Where does this multi-billion dollar corporation get off on charging a 17 year old that much money for a repair which should be free? Hi guys, ive just played and completed battlefield bad company. Im now looking for a new game either horror or war game excluding GRAW2, Medal of Honor series and bad company as ive got all of these. What would you recommend. Please state your reasons why and a little about the game such as quality, live community which I consider important for a new game. You see bad company, no one talks on live gameplay. Anyway all feedback isappreciated.What next???

CoD 4 if you want multiplayer. Single-player is VERY short but good.
get COD4. You will have so much more fun playing COD4 than the rest on that list.

Looks like next up is Mercenaries 2, first game was great %26 this looks to be a whole lot better. Not really a big time Horror game fan, but I am looking forward to Project Origin. I was looking toward getting Dead Space when it released, but now I'll have to wait and make sure its not a bug fest of a game after dealing with EA %26 Nascar 09. Also Frontlines: Fuel Of War I thought was very enjoyable as well mostly online, but single player campaign was a blast too. Not quite considered Horror, but Dark Sector was a surprise hit for me so that's another game you could look into.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Rocking single player campaign to which can be played via Co-Op offline %26 online. Game also renders offline %26 online Co-Op action via Terrorist Hunts which you play on the same maps for which the multiplayer is played. Pair up with you friend or go alone against pretty good AI with 3 settings to the amount of guys you want to take on. Play via Normal or the one and only Reaslistic mode which is a guarantee to test you. As for Online, well its second to no game. If you want true Tactitcal Warfare Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is where its at. Plenty of maps %26 game modes to choose from, communication between you and the rest of your team is key, believe me Call Of Duty 4 won't nearly impress you as much as this.

Looks like next up is Mercenaries 2, first game was great %26 this looks to be a whole lot better. Not really a big time Horror game fan, but I am looking forward to Project Origin. Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Rocking single player campaign to which can be played via Co-Op offline %26 online. Game also renders offline %26 online Co-Op action via Terrorist Hunts which you play on the same maps for which the multiplayer is played. Pair up with you friend or go alone against pretty good AI with 3 settings to the amount of guys you want to take on. Play via Normal or the one and only Reaslistic mode which is a guarantee to test you. As for Online, well its second to no game. If you want true Tactitcal Warfare Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is where its at. Plenty of maps %26 game modes to choose from, communication between you and the rest of your team is key, believe me Call Of Duty 4 won't nearly impress you as much as this.

I haven't played it for a while but plan to get back in to it, but out of all of the games that I have played online on my 360 I would have to say probably Gears Of War! :D

With all the jackasses online(including some of you guys), Bungie's horrible matchmaking system in which I get paired with every incompetent piece of **** the horrible gametypes(ARs on Standoff), not to mention the random BR spread that makes SWAT retarded, it just doesn't end. Not to mention every homosexual on the market just boosts their experience so cognitively they think theuir dik is longer than 2 inches. COD4 was fun, till I beat all the challenges, not I'm done with that. Was far more fun than the Halo crap, though. All the game modes, perks, challenges, maps and situations really add spice to the COD formula, and hell, it's not WW2. +1 Shadowrun was great, along the lines of Cod4 in customizing your guy with various perks and magic abilities, but FASA is dead and the game needs a surge of new maps and content. Oh Well.Rainbow Six Vegas 2 online is sort of a joke. Ranked matches are over in 3 minutes, you only get 2 lives depending on the gametype and how much your team sucks. Xbox 360's integrated motion sensor?
Ok, so I recently moved everything around in my room and I had to put my Xbox lying down instead of standing up straight. Then I noticed that it somehow knows what position its in because it shifts the green light on the ring for first player to be the top right section of the ring, no matter how its positioned.
I don't know if this is old or something i just missed before. So if anyone has anything on this, or can tell me whats in it that lets it know.Xbox 360's integrated motion sensor?

And yes, they do that for convenience and so that one orientation wouldn't get labeled ''more proper'' than the other orientation.
Its just a cool feature that M$ added to make the ring of light look right either you have it vertical or horizontal. Its kinda like the ps2 had that little ps logo you could turn so it would be up right if you had your console vertical. But M$ solution was a little more hightech :P

I vote no guitar hero 4. GH series is going downhill, GH3 was a very bad glitchy game. The setlist seemed good at first but I actually found myself playing GH2 more then I was playing GH3. I just could not find a song to play. GH4 will be no different just like to Tony hawk games.

skate is the best thing to happen to skating games. The last good TH game was Underground and since then I've skipped TH games or got bored real quick so EA FTW!

i've not played it yet (i'm new to 360), but i hope it wont be.. i don't think it will the video's look great. really wish there was a demo for it though, i hate buying games based on video alone. now that i have a 360 with demo's available, i probably wontbuy many games unless there's a demo.no demo to me means eitherthe company knows the game sucks, or the company is greedy/lazy and knows people will buy it anyway.

I think the ''let down'' comes from people over playing the game. Any game will get old if you're playing it for a couple of hours every day. I think it lives up to the hype. Imagine what it had to live up to. Videos were around in early 2005. Maybe even earlier than that. I had been looking forward to this game since before the 360 was even released. The graphics were as advertised. The gameplay was different than just about every big 1st person shooter. The multiplayer is fun when played with the right people. And the reviews were high. I got the game when it came out and I still enjoy playing it. I just don't over do it.

The only thing you may not like are some of the people that play it, but its good to remember that not all people are like that

I think the graphics aren't all that, honestly (Bravia 1080p TV by the way. Kameo looks better than it imo). I want to sellGOW just for the sake of not having it anymore in my library. Don't even get me started with the online mode. I think I never met so many rude and nasty people in a single online game, and trust me, I've played lots of online games.My 2 cents.

Hi, this is my first post, I really hope someone can help me.Right, my son has an xbox 360. On this machine there are 3 gamertags, LYALL999UK and Howard, the third is called Lyall I think but I have never used this one so I don;t think it matters. I have used both LYALL999UK and Howard (my husband) to play on Guitar Hero and Rock Band and have progressed quite far into the games.Now, the other day, I gained my brother's old xbox and a 64mb memory card. He bought himself an elite as his old one had the 'ring of death.' I have fixed this with my own little fingers - very pleased with that! I transferred everything that was on my brother's memory card onto his new hard drive. So I now have my own xbox!!! Now obviously I would like to continue my progress with my two favourite games on my own console, whilst leaving my son with all the data he needs on his hard drive so he can continue with all his games. Transferring everything off my brother's memory card and onto his new hard drive was no problem at all. Then I came home and tried transferring everything that looks relevant from my son's hard drive onto the memory card. I thought I had moved everything to do with each game (except downloads of course, no chance of those with 64mb) but when I plugged it into mine, and started the games, there is nothing. No previously created bands, no record or anything. I think it has something to do with gamertags or gamer profiles, or sign-ins but I don't know anything for sure. At this point I am lost. You need to transfer the gamertag associated with the saves you want to use over to your 360 as well.
If you go to the system blade on your 360 > Memory > Games > Guitar Hero (or Rock Band) you'll see what gamertag is associated with the saves you transferred.
I'm pretty sure once you transfer the gamertag over you'll have access to your saves again. If I'm wrong someone will correct me hopefully.
The only game I know where you can put a uptodate save on the MU is two worlds. Sorry mate.

I had hoped there would be a copy option but it only gives a move option. I did think of this though, and so moved the Howard tag, as I have some data (a solo career) under that. You need to transfer the gamertag associated with the saves you want to use over to your 360 as well.
If you go to the system blade on your 360 > Memory > Games > Guitar Hero (or Rock Band) you'll see what gamertag is associated with the saves you transferred.
I'm pretty sure once you transfer the gamertag over you'll have access to your saves again. If I'm wrong someone will correct me hopefully.
The only game I know where you can put a uptodate save on the MU is two worlds. Sorry mate.

Star Ocean 4 the next RE4?
I'm a little worried that Star Ocean four might end up like Resident Evil 4. What I mean is how they initially decided to move the game to Gamecube because they felt the system was better and it would further realize their vision for the game. Unfortunately the game nearly tanked, and due to many requests, they released it on PS2 with special features and such. Now Star Ocean 4 is shifted to the Xbox 360 I'm not sure the exact reason though. But my worry is that they're going to release this game later on the PS3 with additional features such as new characters, quests and maybe even DLC. I highly think this game will be a 'timed release', they just won't admit to that. I'm going to get the game anyway but I just get that sinking feeling they're going to release a 'better' version on the PS3 6-8 months later.This does seem to be the trend with non first party 'exclusive' titles this generation. What I said what that version came out first, then when it was released on another console it had extra features, even though the game as 'promised' to stay on one console. That's my concern about Star Ocean, but I guess this is to be expected this generation. Anytime a once exclusive game debutes on another console they add extra features to justify the purchase. But just don't want to get shafted buying it and then close to a year later a PS3 version comes out with features exclusive to that version like characters, quests...ect.Like I said I'm going to get it, but I just don't want to be denied any extra features which may or may not happen if the game is re-released on another system.

you do realize all game companies are in this for one reason, right? they want to make money. they need to make money. that's how they get to make more games. If they want to put out a game for more than one system, i see no problem with that.
I know that, I've seen it done quit a few times. My only issue is when they lock in exclusive features to another system, especially if you don't have that system. Not everyone owns all three consoles nor wants to. Money makes the world go round, that's the whole point of even charging for DLC in the first place. I also have no problem with multiplatform games, it lets people who don't have the particular system play. I just would like to have all those extra features for the game I pay $60 for. Yes I may be whining but I have a right to if I buy a game and some one else gets extra content I can't without buying another console.

that's like saying i bought this computer last month and now you guys just released new components for it that are better than mine. and did you really just say you have a right to whine? you don't like that another version of the game gets extra stuff, then don't buy the original.
I have to buy the original because I only have a 360. Well either way this will hopefully be a great game and they'll learn from the mistakes of part 3. I'd really like it they put back in all the private actions and little features from second story, like being able to shop in dungeons. Oh and I hope they retain the battle trophies, they were basically achievements, though that's a given anyway. I also wish they'd release some news on the status of the American hand held version of the SO2 remake. :( I've been dying to get that since it was released in Japan earlier this year.

Bioshock is pretty easy for most of them. Maybe 2 or 3 that can be missable.Oblivion is easy but takes a while. It took me 40 hours to do all 1250 but maybe I'm slow.

Don't buy games just to boost your Gamerscore. It's not worth it because your probably not going to play it again. Rent the ones that have easy achievements, and buy the good games.

most of the 2005 x360 games has 5-6 achievments :D
Bioshock is pretty easy for most of them. Maybe 2 or 3 that can be missable.Oblivion is easy but takes a while. It took me 40 hours to do all 1250 but maybe I'm slow.

I saw a banner on xbl yesterday that this coming Tuesday's dlc includes 2 songs from the Red hot Chili Peppers, and 2 from Rush. What caught my eye was the song 'Working Man' from Rush that was released months ago !!!!WTF !!!! With RB2 coming in September, is Harmonix (spelling?) getting lazy?What's up w/Rock Band
the working man they are releasing this tuesday is a master track. I am not happy because they have released SOOO much rush, and left out many good bands. They re-released a song instead of putting out something better..ughhWhat's up w/Rock Band

Dont download it, its that simple. Theyre probably saving the better songs for Rock Band 2 anyways.
