Snipers do suck but also have their purposes. If you want to beat snipers this is what you do, I haven't played Bad Company yet, but I'm assuming this will work. In COD4 there a lot of snipers. I find the best way to counteract them is to memorize all of the camping/sniping spots. Now once you have done that, if your the run 'n gun type of player, like I am, during your run arounds of the map during games, frequently check out those sniper spots. Usually they won't even know your there until it's too late. You hate snipers, but I love them. Snipers = free kills.

I agree it is harder to memorize sniper locations on these games, but from what I've noticed most times when I play the battlefield games there are general areas where snipers will set up shop. Like for instance (it could have just been bad players) I was playing Battlefield 2 on xbox live last night and we were having a constant battle over a flag with the other team, and they would always pop a different sniper over and over again in the same spot near the flag. I see most snipers get a lot of kills in a area, and then continue to go to it over and over again, and not just in Battlefield.
maybe you shouldn't just stand around when you spawn.... and spawn with your squad instead of at your base to try to avoid them. In BF games, there's always another way. And it's not like sniping in BC is super easy ''point and click'' like in COD; sniping takes skill and practice to master in BC and if you got owned by him being a good shot, you gotta give him props for his skill.

On the contrary... Snipers are quite effective, and usefull... I just find it a little cheap how some people snipe... I also just can't see myself sitting around in the same spot throughout an entire game... I'm the type of person who just runs around blowing down walls, and shooting people... I normally get about 5 kills or so before I die just running around..........

Im a sniper. I snipe in Cod4 and BF2 for the PC. I played BF BC on my friends box, and was awsome at sniping.

I'm a run 'n gun guy too, I rarely snipe. I used to find sniping fun because it was like toying with your opponent watching them before killing them, but today's games are more run 'n gun based, plus I can't sit there either. I also find that when I sit there and try to snipe, for instance during a Free For All in COD4, it takes too much time to get kills and I end up losing the match because of it.

A sniper can kill attackers before they even get to your base --- extremely effective for defense. It's the same idea with archers in medieval times. Reach them before they can reach you. Transfering data from a old 360 to a new ...
I am going to buy a new 360 elite soon because I am buying a high def tv and I want to have HDMI output. My question is how do i transfer my account info as well as my downloads and game saves to the new system? CoD2 blew CoD4 away. Tony Hawk American Wasteland is one of the top 5 games on 360. Guitar 2 is 100X better than GH3 and Rock Band. Mass Effect was glitchy and buggy and the story wasn't that interesting, still like the game, but it is way overrated.

Sorry to hear about your scratched disc.Anyway, yes tooth paste will work. But be extremely careful and make sure you use a microfiber cloth. This cloth is soft enough to prevent scratches on your disc. There are a few other solutions you can use but unfortunately I cannot remember them at this time. Google it. One key thing to remember is that tooth paste and solutions are used to remove smudges and minor scratches. If this is a deep scracth that is preventing you from playing GTA IV. Does anyone know if you miss something such as a sidequest if you can go back to the area after you complete the game. I know with Blue dragon if you missed something you would be able to start the game over after beating it with keeping your characters leveled with all their stuff. ok come on you are dreaming if you think that Gears of War 2 or MGS 4 is going to win, even with GTA IV you would be wrong the supreme ruler is going to be....kung fu panda.....ok to be on topic, i'd say of the games that are already out and from what I've heard MSG 4 but there are some little games coming that have chances like, Gears of War 2, Fable 2, FarCry 2, Fallout 3 and I dont know if Killzone 2 is coming out this year, and if you think that because GTA IV or MSG 4 scored a ten will win...both bioshock and CoD 4 scored lower than some games in 2007
who knows could be GTA4 but we have to wait till fable and fallout 3 comes out. i personally like mgs4 to win goty that game is amazing
So far Lost odyssey is my GOTY. That's my personnal pick so far but i know it wont win. It'll be between MGS4 and GTA4. That is unless some other games wows us.
Fallout 3, atleast it should turn out that good.

For me personally MG4 is GOTY and will probably win it I think. If GTA4 ends up winning it the only reason is because reviewers won;t want to back out of their perfect scores and give the award to the game that truly deserves it.

Its gonna be between COD4 and Gears of War 2, but if i had to guess, i would think Gears 2 would win it.
